Only a quick 10 miles from the attractive tree-lined streets of downtown of Paso Robles, the home is in the heart of the fastest growing wine region in California. Paso Robles is home to over 200 wineries. This region specializes in producing some of the best Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, and Rhône varieties on the market today.
Things that make this Vineyard Drive House unique are the walking trails that meander around the property and a duck pond with a hammock and tree swing. A small orchard of fruit trees offer a seasonal array of fruit that is available for our guests' enjoyment. The backyard is perfectly set up for relaxing and dining showcasing a sparkling pool with waterfall, hot tub, and propane barbecue with views of the pristine countryside.

Vineyard House Drive was built in the late 1980’s by Georgi Van de Kamp of Van de Kamp Bakeries, Lawry’s restaurants and Lawry’s Seasoning Salts. On a trip to Australia, Mrs. Van de Kamp fell in love with the architecture of the houses in the Outback region of the country. When she returned to the U.S., she asked C. Wakefield Smith, her architect, to design a home based on the style she fell in love with in Australia. With the help of local builder Will Bateman, her dream house was created.
